    Tragically, on March 11, 2021, at 10:40 AM, a 50-year-old Cambodian man died of Covid-19 at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, the first case of death in Cambodia.

    The first  Covid 19 patients to die in Cambodia were drivers for a Chinese employer in Sihanoukville who were infected with Covid-19 at the February 20 community event.

  
  The man lives in Chak Angre commune, Meanchey district, Phnom Penh. It should be noted that this body was found to be infected with Covid-19 virus on February 27, 2021, which was confirmed by the laboratory of the InstitutePasteur Cambodia. The patient died at the last breath, unable to even see his wife, children and family. However, the doctors tried their best and still could not save the man's life, only to mourn.
